Wofür ist eine Stoppuhr gut?
Track 400-metre repeats
The classic interval workout — 400 metres at one pace, 200 metres jog rest — depends on consistent splits. Use this stopwatch with the L key at each lap line. After 8-12 reps you have a complete training log with both the rep split and the cumulative session total.
Road mile splits without GPS
If you run on a measured road course (most parks have signed mile markers, or use Strava's measured loops), tap L at each mile. The split is your actual mile pace; the cumulative is your total run time. No GPS watch needed, no battery anxiety.
Treadmill intervals
Treadmill displays usually show total time but rarely capture per-interval splits. Run the stopwatch on a phone propped on the console and tap L at the end of each work or rest interval. The list is your interval breakdown for the session.
Group run coordination
Coaches and pacers running group sessions can call out splits to athletes by glancing at the lap list. Far easier than mental arithmetic during a workout.
So nutzt Sie diese Stoppuhr
- Click Open Running Stopwatch. Stopwatch mode loads at 00:00.00.
- Tap Start (or press Space) at the gun or the start of your warmup.
- Press L at each marker — lap line, mile mark, interval end. The split since last lap and the cumulative are both captured.
- Continue for the full session. Reset only when finished — pausing keeps the lap list intact.
- Copy the splits into your training log. Press R to clear and start fresh.
Häufig gestellte Fragen
- Is this accurate enough for track training?
- Yes for training — hundredth of a second resolution. Official competition timing uses photo-finish systems at thousandths.
- Can I tap Lap with a sweaty thumb?
- Touch screens generally respond fine. For ultra-rainy conditions consider running on a laptop on a covered bench and tapping the keyboard L key.
- Will the timer survive a phone screen blanking out?
- We hold a Screen Wake Lock for the run. The state survives a brief blanking but a forced screen-off can pause some browsers.
- Can I run this on Apple Watch?
- No — the page does not run on watchOS Safari. Use the Apple Workout app for watch-native timing.
